Dried Bay leaves fragrance is herbal and slightly floral. They have a similar flavour to oregano and thyme.
They are often used whole in Asian and European dishes (particularly French cuisine, and are important ingredient of Bouquet Garni.) such as soups, broths and homemade stock, slow cooked stews, and sauces.
