WELCOME

This style of Yoga is offered at Collective Rising based on the original teachings straight from the capital of yoga, MYSORE, India.

It is a led Hatha Vinyasa where the teacher leads the students through a series of poses like Ashtanga Vinyasa with breath count and the series is repeated each class for the purpose of deepening the students practice and increasing flexibility and peace of mind.

This style of vinyasa practice is traditionally based on the set movement through the postures in a specific way and all postures are modified to suit the Indvidual needs

These classes are suited for all levels and abilities. They are oriented towards detoxification of the body and mind from toxins and energy blockages and are geared towards providing sacred meditative space for cultivation of inner peace, steadiness in practice, skill, happiness and optimal health.

Classes are held every Monday and Thursday at 6.30pm

Classes typically go for 70 to 75 mins (including resting time).

Class description

70 to 75 mins traditional Yoga vinyasa led hatha/ashtanga – focused on breath, alignments and conscious movement with deeply restorative periods.

Classes are offered twice weekly where the teacher offers verbal cues and breath count to inspire a deeper practice over time into the self through the realms of matter (the body).

For a small investment of $48 fortnightly (1 class per week) or super saver $69 fortnightly (4 classes per fortnight THAT’S 5 hours of yoga per fortnight), be sure to reap all the health benefits that come along with traditional yoga.

Ashtanga & Law of One.

Ashtanga means “eight limbs” or steps and is divided into three disciplines. First is self restraints or physical practices including practice of postures or asanas and pranayama. The second is antaranga-sadhana or emotional and mental discipline and the third is antaratma sadhana which is the successful quest of the soul through one pointedness of the mind and deep meditation. Patanjali said “the practice of yoga destroys the impurities of the body and mind”

Law of One – is a philosophy centered on the idea that we all originate from the One Source/Creator and promotes the cosmic law of Mentalism (Our minds create our reality, and every action generates a response in our physical world – both we have the power to shift).

These philosophies are integrated and reflected into the guidance given to students aimed to expand awareness of oneself, a height and depth that Western Yoga does not touch on.

This is not your everyday gym workout. This is a work-in. We work with subtle body just as much the physical. It is deeply healing & you WILL feel the transformation.

  • overcome unhealthy habits by way of long term discipline. Really pays off especially when showing up even when things get challenging. 
  • practice with a group of like-minded souls
  • receive physical adjustments (you always have the option to say no if your body prefers non assisted movements).

Bring towel. Bring drinking water for after the session. Be early. Mats & props are provided. Please wipe/spray your mat after use.
